News: SF Great America to get a new GM

Oct. 21st, 2004 -- Ronald Severt, who is currently the General Manager at Six Flags New England, will leave later this month to become the General Manager at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, Illionis.

Severt became the General Manager at the Agawam, Massachusetts amusement park in 2001 after a brief stint as marketing director at Six Flags Great Adventure. Before that, he worked at Riverside Amusement Park, which was bought by Six Flags and converted to Six Flags New England in 2000.

That doesn't really sound like good move, as SFNE isn't known for its great operations.

^Yeah, they definitely aren't know for great operations...

I agree though, this does not sound good for the park. I really hope the park does not get worse, because it seems to be getting a little bit better in a few areas, since my last visit.
