Nov. 5th, 2004 -- On Dec. 7, Knott's Berry Farm will open Silver Bullet, the theme park's highly anticipated inverted roller coaster. Starting today, people across the world have a chance to be among the first to ride.

Knott's is auctioning off the chance to be one of the first sixty riders on Silver Bullet, with 28 riders in the first train and 32 in the second. Bids will begin at $100 dollars and proceeds will go to the Speech and Language Development Center of Buena Park. The auction opens at 5 p.m. Pacific Time on Nov. 5 and closes on Nov. 30, at 8 p.m. Pacific Time.

In addition to one of the coveted seats, the sixty highest bidders will also receive a special T-shirt, free admission to the park on Dec. 7, a special gift, and the chance to partake in the opening ceremony.

It'd be pretty cool to be one of the first riders on Silver Bullet. I personally just wish I could go out and ride it period. I doubt that will happen though hehe.

I'd pay $100 for a first ride on it, but surely the price will be much higher toward the end of the auction.

Any coaster ride is not worth a 100 bucks.

If you're getting in free, get free merchandise, get to be one of the first riders, and get to go to the opening ceremony, I would pay 100 bucks.

I definitely think this would be worth up to almost $200. You get in free, get a bunch of stuff for free, and its a special experience. I would definitely try to do it.

A good idea that will help what sounds like a good cause.

And the $100+ is getting you admission as well as other goodies, so it's not that bad when you consider that.

I think it's great that Cedar Fair does this to help out great causes. I know not a lot of people would consider doing it as they would something Top Thrill Dragster two years ago since that was a record breaking ride whereas this is just a "regular" rollercoaster. Although if I lived closer to Knott's Berry Farm or Cedar Point when they have done the charity auction, I would maybe bidded up to a few hudred since it would be a unique experience, a fun day and also would help out a charity.

If only I had the ride to get there, the money, and the promise to ride. I would be there. Anyone who can afford to get a ride on this and get there should definently do it, the ride looks awesome.

I would pay up to $500 to be the first rider on Silver Bullet. I wish I could go to KBF on December 7, 2004.
