News: Foy's Lake park to open

Nov. 8th, 2004 -- Foy's Lake amusement park will be opening on Nov. 12 as a "test run" for the occassion of Eid. The formal opening ceremony will not occur until Nov. 18. The park is owned and operated by the Concord Entertainment company, and will feature water rides, a Ferris Wheel, and various other attractions. It will also eventually feature a hotel and will be used as a honeymoon location. 99 percent of the rides on the property are non-motorized and environmentally safe.

About seven months ago, Concord got a 50-year lease on the property around Foy's Lake and began turning it into a modern entertainment facility. They also own a 3D cinema at Fantasy Kingdom.
