Nov. 10th, 2004 -- Today Universal Studios Hollywood announced the "Buy A Day, Get 2005 Free" program. This allows guests to buy a $49.75 one-day ticket for the park and get a free annual pass for 2005.

The program begins Nov. 11 for tickets purchased online and Nov. 22 for tickets purchased at the park. Guests can take online tickets to a processing center inside the park to receive their annual pass. The program runs until Feb. 28, 2005.

For a fee, guests may also upgrade their annual pass to a Deluxe or Premium Annual Pass, both of which offer several privileges and discounts.

Dang, what is it with parks and giving away the gate these days? I could have sworn they were in this for a profit, apparently not.

When I first came across this, I had to read it several times and make sure I was understanding it properly. It seemed pretty strange that a park would give out annual passes like that.

This is great news to me because I will be going to USH over winter break. Does anyone know if the pass that you get will work at USF also?

Wow, thats crazy. It seems like more and more parks are starting to offer deals like this on season passes. They must really make up for it with the food and gift sales inside the park.

The only thing I can think of is parks are wanting to get capital in the winter months on off-peak times and that way they have money coming in, when normally they wouldn't.

That's the only thing I can think of.

SFOG is also running a rediculous deal now of $42.99!!! I've already bought my voucher. Can't beat that deal.
