News: Hersheypark set for Christmas Candylane

Nov. 19th, 2004 -- Hersheypark is ready to open their annual Christmas Candylane event today. The park is decorated with over one million christmas lights and their popular Kissmas Tree, with choreographed Hershey kisses singing holiday tunes.

Admission is free, but guests can pay-per-ride or buy a wristband for unlimited rides on the selected rides that Hersheypark operates during Christmas Candylane.

Also returning for its second year is Hershey Sweet Lights. Guests pay per carload and drive through a two-mile wooded area behind Hotel Hershey while being able to turn their radios on and hear a coordinated holiday music broadcast.

BryanWood Joined: May 2001 Posts: 4008 View Park/Ride Count	I went last year, and it was a great way to break up the offseason. While no coasters are open, it was fun to ride Claw, Wave Swinger, Scrambler, Tilt-A-Whirl and more. I'd reccomend it to any enthusiast who needs an offseason fix and can't head south.

It is a great chance to ride the flats not located in Midaway America( They should open that section up for this event next year). There is also some great light displays in the park and ZooAmerica is still open. It is a nice event.
