Posted at 2:27 PM EST (1927 GMT)

Jan. 5th, 2005 -- Right now, it's playtime ... anytime at Six Flags! For the unprecedented price of just a single day's admission, guests who purchase the new Play Pass can enjoy the Xtreme Park all day, every operating day -- now -- through the end of the 2005 season. With a Six Flags Play Pass there are no blackout dates and no fine print -- Play Pass is good for unlimited visits, unlimited free concerts and special events and unlimited fun all year long! Plus, the new Six Flags Magic Mountain Play Pass is good at all Six Flags theme parks across the country and comes with a Bonus Book worth over $500 in value-added Six Flags offers, including a FREE friend admission, a FREE parking coupon, a FREE Hurricane Harbor admission ticket, plus discounts on food and merchandise. Play Pass can be purchased online at sixflags.com or at the family theme park.

In addition to Play Pass, Six Flags has also introduced a "limited run" premium pass option -- the Xtreme Play Pass -- for guests who want a Six Flags VIP experience with every visit. In addition to all the benefits of the Play Pass, with each visit, the Xtreme Play Pass includes FREE Fast Lane "front of the line" privileges, FREE parking and a 20% discount at all Six Flags operated food and merchandise locations. Play Pass benefits are only good at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Six Flags Magic Mountain's new Play Pass is the best entertainment value in the Southland. For the low price of just $47.99 -- a single day's admission -- you can play every operating day through the end of 2005.

"We were excited to launch this extraordinary new Play Pass program for the many loyal Six Flags consumers throughout Southern California who are looking for the best in thrilling experiences at a great value," stated Del Holland, vice president and general manager of Six Flags California. "This offer surpasses any other offer in Southern California -- Six Flags thrills any time you want for the low price of just a days admission -- almost too good to be true!"

Play Pass holders can race, spin, dive and fly on 16 of the world's most electrifying coasters only found at Six Flags Magic Mountain -- like Scream, Southern California's first floorless coaster, X, the world's first four- dimensional coaster; Goliath, still The Giant Among Coasters; The Riddler's Revenge -- the world's tallest and fastest stand-up roller coaster; Superman The Escape -- the most technologically advanced thrill ride ever built; Colossus -- a classic "woodie," Batman The Ride, Viper and many more.

Six Flags thrills come in many shapes and sizes -- get drenched on five wet and wild water rides like Roaring Rapids, Tidal Wave and Log Jammer. Experience an array of exciting family shows, a parade and fireworks extravaganza and unlimited special events like Fright Fest, Festival Latino, Hallelujah Jubilee and more.

For the little thrill seekers, Bugs Bunny World is a six-acre interactive wonderland featuring 16 rides and attractions that parents and kids can experience together -- including two traditional Six Flags roller coasters ... only pint-sized!

I think they need to lower single day prices before issuing this. Ther are better ways to bring attendence.

Since when is the news on Thrillnetwork an advertising outlet? The only downside to this pass is that you cannot use it at other six flags parks.

Your pass can be used for admission to other SF parks, just not the Xtreme Pass benefits.

We aren't an advertising outlet, we post all news that comes by our inbox, and we've posted plenty of news like this before.

What is the difference between this and a season pass? I think I am missing something. I just bought my season pass for $45.00. Did I read something wrong?? The Xtreme Play Pass has an upcharge. I am confused. Someone please explain.
