News: Woman sues Six Flags

Jan. 14th, 2004 -- A woman has filed a lawsuit against Six Flags, Inc. over injuries sustained on Six Flags Worlds of Adventure's Villain in 2000.

In the lawsuit, the woman claims that Six Flags knew that people were throwing objects at The Villain as it ran its course and did nothing to stop it. She also says part of her skull was removed due to being hit by a thrown object.

Oh boy. This is pretty dumb. Maybe Six Flags didn't know that people were throwing rocks at the ride. And it wasn't like it was employees doing that. I don't think she has a case. The company can't be held liable for guests' actions inside the park.

Parks (and sometimes even employees) are held liable for guest actions if they fail to control them.

Its sad that this happened, but Six Flags is going to be liable for this.

Throwing objects at the ride??? How stupid! If I saw someone throwing stuff at a ride like that I'd personally smack them up the side the head, yeesh. Too bad...
