Feb. 27th, 2005 -- Six Flags Great Adventure will pay $750,000 to Betty Golembeski.
Golembeski, 45, suffered neck and knee injuries after riding the Big Bambu water slide on Aug. 9, 2001, her lawyer said. The raft she and her children were in bottomed out because there was not enough water in the pool, the suit said. She had knee surgery and piled up $18,000 of medical bills. Her 11-year-old daughter suffered a sprained neck among other injuries. Her 8-year-old son was not hurt. For more information, visit the New York Daily News.
