News: Castaway Bay briefly evacuated

Posted at 2:19 PM EST (1919 GMT)

Mar. 16th, 2005 -- According to officials, the chlorine was not properly diluted with water, which caused heavy fumes. Rendezvous Run and the Lookout Lagoon were affected.

The waterpark was closed right after opening, but was reopened at 10:30am, after everything was cleared. Four people were taken to a local hospital as a precaution and were released.

For more information, read the Lorain Morning Journal.

Good thing they caught it before it turned into something big and more people had to be hospitalized.

You don't want to hear about things like this happening so soon after it just opened up. It's only been open for about four months now. You don't want to start nearly poisoning people until you've been open for a few years. That's usually industry standard.
