News: Taste of nostalgia coming to PKI

Mar. 17th, 2005 -- The former Preston T. Tucker's Roadside Café at Paramount's Kings Island is getting redone for the park's opening on April 9. The restaurant will now be known as the Happy Days Diner, themed to the popular show from the 1970s.

ion to offering classic American food, the diner will also include disc jockeys playing songs of the 1950s and "Happy Days" trivia contests. Marion Ross, one of the show's cast members, will make an appearance at the restaurant's opening.

It's the same food that was there before, but now it has pictures of Anson Williams instead of Stan Mikita. Really my only problem with Paramount parks has been the food. They have some bright spots, but for the most part their food leaves a lot to be desired. Now Knoebles and Busch Gardens Williamsburg....YUMMY! Oh and don't forget the Potato Patch at Kennywood...I COULD GO ON AND ON!

coasterlove Joined: May 2001 Posts: 6421 View Park/Ride Count	I'm curious how good the theming will be for this. I'll actually be going there for the first time so I don't know what to expect about the park that much. I'm hoping the theming will be really great. That would be a lot of fun.

5150 Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 364 View Park/Ride Count	It's about average. Not like Islands of Adveture theming, but not quite the neighborhood carnival either. It will remind you of Carowinds or PKD or Great America. Good solid park. The BEAST is the BEST!!!! ...and their Arrow Looper was nice too.
