News: Riders stranded at Camp Snoopy

Mar. 21st, 2005 -- The Mighty Axe at Camp Snoopy, a Zamperla Rotoshake ride, broke down today, stranding nearly 30 riders, some of them upside-down.

The incident happened at about 2 p.m. CST this afternoon. Although it took nearly 90 minutes to get all the riders off, there were no injuries. There has been at least one other similar incident on The Mighty Axe. In 1998, the spinning ride stalled, leaving five riders upside-down for over an hour.
