News: Bigger plans for Waldameer Park

Posted at 1:51 PM EST (1851 GMT)

Jan. 16th, 2004 -- On top of the Maurer-Sohne Spinning Coaster 2000, Waldameer Park owner Paul Nelson has more plans for the park up his sleeve.

Nelson is making his plan known, he wants to expand Waldameer. The park is building a new entrance, adding new midway and arcade games, statues and service roads.

He also wants to build the oft-delayed Ravine Flyer II in 2006, a lofty goal for a small park that has faced numerous problems with getting the ride built.

The coolest thing is that they actually want to rebuild Ravine Flyer. I don't know much about it, but if a park wants to rebuilt it this badly, it's probably good.
