Reviews: Knoebel's: Small park offers Big thrills

Posted at 3:03 PM EDT (1903 GMT)

Apr. 21st, 2005 -- pittnews.com gives in-depth coverage on one of Pennsylvania’s favorite classic parks Knoebels.

While the park may not have the new world record holder or latest B&M, the park does have it’s niche as a family park.

There are also the classic wooden coasters Twister and Phoenix that draw coaster enthusiasts back to the park year after year.

The article gives an overview of what Knoebels has to offer as well as some of the history of the park.

I didn't read the article but I can tell you that this is a very fun park. It is extremely family oriented but Pheonix and Twister are great. The fact that it is a pay per ride is good for them as well.

Do they have a wristband or unlimited rides all day type ticket?

You can only get a wristband on Weekdays. On Weekends you have to buy individual tickets.

It is not that expensive though. Their website(if they have one) should tell you the prices.

EDIT: Go to the bottom of this page for the rates http://www.knoebels.com/rates.htm. They mat seem expensive but iif you have a group of around five people and you buy a ticket book, it works ou really well.

They have a super neato dark ride there as well. I had never paid much attention to dark rides before I rode theirs. Now I make sure I find a new one or two every year. Knoebels is a VERY unique park. It's got its own personality, but it also has that Pennsylvania amusement park feel too. I only get there once or twice a year, but I love it.

Even if you are far away, put this place on your list this year. It's easy to string Knoebels, Hershey, Dorney, Bushkill (flood?), and even SF: Great Adventure together. I also promise you that Phoenix is WAY better than Kingda Ka.*
