Apr. 26th, 2005 -- Last August, Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Redskins football team, purchased 8.75 percent of Six Flags' stock, making him the company's third-largest shareholder. In January, however, Snyder indicated his disaproval with the company's management and planned to sell his shares. Last week Snyder disclosed that he still owns all of his Six Flags stock and has big plans for improving the company.
Snyder has disclosed an interest in either getting Six Flags to merge with another company or launching a takeover effort of the amusement park operator. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Snyder says he is interested in discussing these plans and others with Six Flags shareholders. See the Star-Telegram for more.
