Private/Personal content

Considering the real-time nature of this site, it is impossible for us to review content or confirm the validity of information posted. Please remember that we cannot actively monitor all the contents of and are not responsible for any content posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any content, and are not responsible for the contents of any content. The content express the views of the author of the content, not necessarily the views of ThrillNetwork or any entity associated with the ThrillNetwork. Any user who feels that a posted content is objectionable is encouraged to contact us immediately by email. We have the ability to remove objectionable content and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular content immediately.

In addition linking is permitted on the ThrillNetwork but we cannot actively monitor all the links of and are not responsible for any links posted. We have the ability to remove objectionable links and we will make every effort to do so, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular links immediately.

In addition to the content on this site, you agree to receive email news letters and periodic emails regarding changes and enhancements to ThrillNetwork.com, as well as e-mail notices from ThrillNetwork staff regarding TOS issues, conduct, etc. Because of that, it is required that you maintain a valid e-mail address on record with us at all times. Failure to do so will result in immediate, indefinite account suspension until it is corrected.

Turning in official ThrillNetwork correspondence as a TOS violation or spam will be regarded as a ThrillNetwork TOS violation, and your account immediately suspended.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use the ThrillNetwork to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person’s privacy, or otherwise breaking any law. You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by ThrillNetwork.

GUIDE LINE

The easiest way to decide if the post is ok on ore boards is the following; if it can be said on Network television (ABC, CBS, NBC) its ok on ThrillNetwork.

Although the administrators and moderators of ThrillNetwork’s Boards will attempt to keep all objectionable content off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all content. All content express the views of the author, and neither the owners of ThrillNetwork, Wordpress, Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (developers of vBulletin), or other software vendors we use will be held responsible for the content contained within the site.

Use of these forums you agree and you warrant that you will not post any content that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.

ThrillNetwork members must observe these Terms of Use, plus observe and obey any etiquette, directives, requests, and orders from ThrillNetwork staff.

ThrillNetwork staff reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason without notice.

Furthermore, ThrillNetwork staff reserve the right to suspend or revoke posting privileges of any member for any reason without notice (also known as “ban” or “suspension”). While staff are required to exercise restraint in deciding on an account suspension, you may appeal a permanent suspension immediately to ThrillNetwork Senior Staff. Upon denial of appeal, you may apply for reinstatement every six (6) months, or per Senior Staff discretion.

ThrillNetwork Staff (and members) work hard to help maintain this site and keep things orderly. Therefore, treat them as you would like yourself to be treated. Disrespecting ThrillNetwork others can lead to disciplinary action, including and up to permanent account suspension.

Lastly, ThrillNetwork staff is not required, in any way, to explain a member’s suspension. While it may be done as a courtesy, ThrillNetwork staff reserve the right to explain any suspension.

1) Signatures – We are well aware that some forums allow signatures with graphics, several lines, and crazy text. Some even allow advertising.

Here at ThrillNetwork, we believe in the user experience. So, to better enhance it, we have created easy-to-follow signature rules, so that the signatures don’t cloud out the posts.

Our signature policy, which is based on a point system, is as follows:

  • Everyone gets 8 points for their signature.
  • Blank lines and size 1 & 2 are 2 points per line
  • Size 3 is 3 points per line
  • Size 4 is 4 points per line
  • The largest font size determines the number of points for a line.
  • Small font size will allow for much more content within the 8 points
  • TN staff are allotted 2 extra points since they are required to have their staff title in their signature
  • Images, with the exception of forum smileys, are prohibited.
  • Links in signatures are allowed to outside sites, provided there is a return link to ThrillNetwork. In addition, internal links (links within ThrillNetwork) are allowed. All other links are prohibited.
  • No flaming/spamming/making fun of others in signatures
  • ThrillNetwork moderators and administrators reserve the right to edit a member’s signature provided a reason is given.

Under this signature policy, approximately 98% of all signatures will be in compliance. However, the differences are that it allows for a maximum of 4 lines (using small text) and 2 lines using size 4 text.

Also, please do not use the “preview signature” or signature area in the user profile as a guide. The real guide for the signature is what it looks like in the post itself.

2) Links in Post – Links in posts are allowed. There was some confusion on this. Linking in the body of posts was never disallowed. Links in posts are a mainstay of content board activity. However, see the notes regarding advertising.

3) Advertising – User submitted advertising, including images and text links, of any kind is not allowed without prior approval from the editors and moderators of ThrillNetwork. Any advertising approved or not can, without notice, be removed by the Board Administrator. Furthermore, advertising that is not approved will be subject to immediate account suspension, contact of your Internet Service Provider’s abuse department, and a bill for advertising.

Personal sites or other sites are allowed in signatures (with a proper return link to ThrillNetwork.com, see guidelines), Blogs, and Account Profiles. Direct advertising of personal sites or other sites in the message boards are prohibited except with ThrillNetwork staff approval.

Return links to ThrillNetwork.com must be in a links or affiliates area of the page/site, or a links or affiliates page. They are not counted as return links on story or news pages, forum pages, or other content pages (both static and dynamic). Once you have a proper return link, you may submit a link to us for display on our links page.

5) Usernames

a) Creating Multiple Usernames – Members are limited to one account on ThrillNetwork per email address per person. Creating an additional username if you are banned, on probation, warnings or other restrictions, is considered an evasion of these ToS and a swift and stricter punishment will be placed, including the option that we may contact your ISP. If you need to create a new username, please contact ThrillNetwork staff immediately before registering a new account.
b) Usernames containing URLs (.com, .org, .net & etc.) are not permitted on ThrillNetwork and will be banned and or removed without notice and will be done retroactively.
c) Sharing Usernames – Members may not share usernames. Members who do so will be suspended immediately.

6) Coaster/Park Rule Discussion – Any discussion in the forums, chat, or any other part of the site that encourages the breaking of any park/coaster rules, has the potential to result in the harm of any individuals/groups of people, and/or may potentially violate any local, state, and/or federal law(s) are not allowed. Such discussion includes, but is not limited to in any way, picturetaking/videotaping on the ride, defeating restraints (such as loose or unbuckled seatbelts or “one-click lapbar rides”), standing up during the ride, illegal downloading/sharing of warez/crackz/mp3s/emulators, etc.

7) Private/Personal content – The forums provide a quick and easy way to privately communicate amongst members without the hassles of e-mail and without discussing stuff in the public forums. However, Private content are subject to the governing rules of the terms of use. As e-mail can be monitored at businesses, schools/colleges, and ISPs, Private/Personal content can and may be monitored by ThrillNetwork Administrators for content and for TOS adherence.

All of these Terms of Service are subject to change without notice.
