Mobile Site - Work in progress (and bug submissions)

We have launched a beta version of a mobile version of this site that will have as many features of the live version as possible. In other words, you'll be able to not just view news, but you'll also get to see the forums and post through your mobile device, and hopefully see the revamped database as well.

As a note: we are aware that vBulletin (the makers of our software and CMS package) now offers actual mobile apps for the iPhone and Android devices. We have decided against offering the app for multiple reasons (the biggest ones being that for the iPhone app, one of us actually has to own a Mac to build it for our needs, which none of us developers are Mac fans).

With that, the mobile version of the site will aim to have a universal experience. We expect bugs, so please post them here as you play with the mobile version.

Known issues:

- No database on mobile
- News doesn't seem to display 100% right (it is viewable) -- widgets on either side appear very squished.

It's all squarshed. The forums look alright to me except the tweet bar on the left covers text up. I dunno about the rest of the site though.

As I said... it's a known issue. I'm working to find a way to fix it.

The left/right columns on the mobile site should be gone now. If you run into problems, please take screenshots of it, and post them here. Also, please note what model phone you have, and what OS you are running, and if need be (if you're running an alternative browser), what browser you're seeing this in.

Site looks pretty good so far! Only bugs in my light browsing so far is that pictures in articles are cut off on the right side when viewing them in portrait. Once you turn the phone to landscape, the whole picture reveals itself. Also, clicking the words "Log In" on the home screen doesn't bring up the log in page. To log in, you have to hit the weird looking menu button that is directly next to it. I'll let you know more as I keep surfing!

It seems that when you click on a thread it goes to the first page ofvthe thread instead on the newest post which would be much easier to navigate.

I accidentally changed my theme to mobile on my computer. how do I change it back?

I think I might be able to change you back to the default. Let me look into it.

Edit: I just checked. I cant change it. An administrator will have to edit your forum style back to the forum default. I can change it but I can't save it.

I happened to help her fix it. When on the mobile site for future reference, you can click the link at the bottom that says FULL SITE and it will revert back to the regular site.

So the site looks pretty good on my phone. The only thing I can't do is edit posts and see what post someone "liked." There isn't a like button either. Dunno if any of this was supposed to be on there or not, but I noticed those things were missing,lol.
