Campers rejoice!

After several seasons without a campground at the Charlotte, NC amusement park Paramount’s Carowinds, the park has announced the renovation and reopening of the campground for the 2006 season.

The campground will now be known as Paramount’s Camp Wilderness Resort.

Features of the resort will include:

• New air-conditioned cabins with kitchens and bathrooms
• Free shuttle service to and from Paramount’s Carowinds every half-hour
• Discounted Park tickets for campers
• Wireless Internet access
• Level, pull-through sites with full hookups, 50 amp for RV’s
• Spacious tenting sites
• Bathroom facility with hot showers
• Laundry facilities and campground store
• Swimming pool and play areas
